If you’re ever faced with the “drone stuck in tree” situation, don’t worry. There are a couple of things you can attempt to get your drone out of the tree and flying free.
Climb the Tree
If the tree is easy to climb or you’re able to get in the tree securely, then go ahead and climb the tree! You don’t need any tools to do it, and it takes only a few minutes. If you are with other folks, you can ask for assistance on where to move to as you climb the tree. You should have a clear picture of where you need to climb and where the drone is stuck in the tree.
Slingshot
Try using a slingshot and shoot a sturdy fishing line over the branch. Don’t forget to put something heavy on the fishing line so that afterward it falls to the ground. Then move the fishing line back and forth, attempting to wiggle the drone out of the tree.
Hydraulic Lift

If you know someone with a hydraulic lift that can securely lift you into the air, reach out to them! With no effort and in seconds, your “drone stuck in tree” dilemma is over. If you don’t know anyone with a lift, some stores will rent you one. Otherwise, you’ll be getting the ladder out of the garage. Or, you can get in touch with a Tampa tree care company for help.
Ladder
If you don’t own a ladder, you can rent one. A ladder is way safer to use then just climbing a tree. You must make sure there is someone on the ground to watch and help. You should have another person to hold the ladder steady and aid you in staying safe.
Knock it Out
If you can’t get to the drone yourself, you could find something to throw at it to try and knock it out of the tree. Since this object will be in direct contact with your drone, make sure it won’t cause any damage to the drone when it hits it. Some good ideas for objects include a toy, inflatable ball, or dart gun.
